Service Description

This introductory, hands-on maintenance course is designed for new or developing users responsible for supporting FIB-SEM or similar systems. Over five days, participants will learn essential maintenance skills, including how to safely handle and replace the Liquid Metal Ion Source (LMIS) to ensure stable, reliable system performance. Course highlights include: - Basic system maintenance procedures and daily care routines - Vacuum system checks and contamination control - Safe LMIS removal, installation, and conditioning - Troubleshooting common performance issues - Routine calibration and performance verification - Safety protocols and proper tool handling - Practical, guided exercises with real equipment By the end of this course, participants will be equipped to perform level 1 maintenance confidently, including LMIS changes, helping to extend instrument life and minimize downtime.
